Polemarch Greeting

Greetings,

On Behalf of the Howard University Chapter, The Xi (Ξ) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., I would like to first welcome you and thank you for taking the time to come visit our page. Since the dream was conceived by our most revered Founder, the most illustrious brother Elder Watson Diggs, on Thursday, January 5, 1911, Kappa Alpha Psi has been a pillar of achievement and a prime example of brother hood. Though we are a social fraternity, we do commit to hours of service to our university and community while striving to achieve no matter the struggles we incur.

With the motto of Achievement in every field of human endeavor, it is evident that the cornerstone of our fraternity is ACHIEVEMENT. The fraternity and its members hold achievement in such high regards because it is a goal that is attainable only through hard work, discipline, determination, and struggle. In order to truly achieve, one must humble themselves and be willing to learn continuously. It is important to strive for achievement because through it comes both individual and communal success.

More specifically, the Xi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. has been a leader for both the fraternity and the community alike. Founded on Monday, December 27, 1920 under the guidance and influence of Brothers Byron K. Armstrong, D.W. Woodard and J. Wycliffe Keller, Xi chapter has been setting the standard of achievement. With accomplishments such as spearheading the founding of the Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Xi has consistently demonstrated leadership qualities and is still making a great impact on America and the Global Community. As we reach the 100th year of our fraternity and the 90th year of our chartering, We expect to have the most phenomenal year yet: The Year OF Ξ.

Once again, thank you for visiting our page and be sure to check back with us frequently for updates, pictures, events, and news.

Peace and Blessings,

Alvin Staley II
